Nine significant and memorable bottles with labels hang from three rectangular brushed steel ceiling plates on stainless steel wire, with vintage style wiring wrapped in red rayon draped theatrically and asymmetrically to the brass and porcelain candelabra sockets and nine 25-watt vintage style incandescent bulbs within the bottles.
Nine bottles in three clusters of three, one of which is a beer bottle. All bottles were chosen by people significant to us. One friend liked the blue Riesling bottle because it was pretty. Another friend provided a wine bottle with a smiley face because of all the good times we shared. Another friend, a retired heart surgeon and cancer survivor, provided a pricey bourbon bottle, as it symbolized being lucky to be alive. I hung what ended up being my last bottle of mezcal.
