Single-piece, clear-coated mild steel semi-circles folded to 90 degrees, with brass screws attaching the pull to a cabinet door on one side and on the other, to a satin-varnished wood-beetle eaten chestnut handle carved from demolished barn siding. These can simply be turned 90 degrees and used as drawer pulls.
$500
The handles are old chestnut barn siding from here in western Massachusetts. In 2021 I found a great deal on a 1985 Delta Rockwell table saw in excellent condition. Shortly after calling the seller, I went into atrial fibrillation (afib), and it was a painful one. After waiting a bit, I thought it was not gone but passing, and got in my truck. Arriving at the seller’s shop, the afib was miserable and I felt dizzy and nauseous. I paid for the saw, we loaded the 300 pound machine into my truck with the seller’s help and I was having cold sweats and steadying myself on the tailgate and the seller said “Do you want this barnwood?” For being so smart, I’m a complete idiot. The chestnut is beautiful.
