The rental period is 1 week. All items available for rental are available at 1/4 the full purchase price per 1 weeks (7 contiguous days). Entering into the 4th week of possession, the lessee will assume ownership of the item and return is not needed. The lessee will pay the full purchase price, plus cost of shipping and shipping insurance, before the shipper is allowed to pick up the order. The unused portion of the rental payment will be paid to the lessee upon return of the undamaged item.
At placement of the rental order: 100% of the purchase price plus shipping and insurance is due.
Week 1 = 25% purchase price plus shipping
Week 2 = 50% purchase price plus shipping
Week 3 = 75% purchase price plus shipping
(Weeks 1-3, the unused portion of the 100% payment will be paid to the lessee upon return of the undamaged item)
Week 4 = 100% purchase price, lessor now owns the piece, no shipping needed
The lessor will pack the item for shipping to the location only. The lessee is responsible for the cost of shipping to and from location and packing for return to lessor. Duration of shipping will not count toward the rental period. Shipping duration will be counted using the shipper’s label.
Damage to the item will constitute purchase of the item. If damage is not discussed before return, the item will be returned to the lessee and billed for shipping. Remaining funds will not be returned as damage to the item constitutes purchase of the item.
The lessee shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless lessors from any and all costs and expenses, inclusive of attorneys’ costs and fees arising from any claims of injuries, property damage, consequential and incidental damages incurred by any third party as the result of lessee’s negligence or intentional act in regard to the items in the rental order.
Upon shipping of the items from the order, even if lessee has hired others not associated with lessee to pick up the items, lessee assumes all risks of loss and is responsible for any damages to the items within the rental order. This includes risks and losses associated while in transit, at locations and in storage.
Lessors represent and warrant that the items in the rental order are in good working order for motion picture and television purposes only.
